Introduction:

Wireless technology has made many advances in the world. First, there was the analog cell phone technology. It had heavy phones and antennas. After 2g, 3g was introduced with data transfer measured in megabytes and kilobytes. These generations also saw the introduction of mobile broadband. The 4th generation, which was launched after 3g, increased data transfer rates to several hundred Megabytes. LTE also was a step up in the 4th Generation. Tech news is now focusing on the 5th generation, also known as 5g.

When 5g was mentioned, the first thing that came to mind was a faster internet download on mobile phones. Movies and games would be downloaded more quickly. It is true that there will faster speeds in gigabytes. However, the world of movies and games has advanced far beyond what was possible before. Briefly, here is the list of advantages:

Low latency will allow for higher bandwidths. Response time will drop by multiples.

Arrival of 5g will revolutionize the medical field. The doctor will operate robots in surgeries. This was demonstrated in China recently, where a surgeon performed a surgery on a patient 3000 miles apart. A robot using 5g wireless tech operated the entire process.

Wireless technology will allow cars to be connected wirelessly to the centers, allowing them to operate as driverless vehicles.

Our daily routines will be enhanced by virtual and augmented realities. Home automation will allow for a greater level of interconnection between devices.

The world’s biggest telecommunications companies are racing to control 5G. Why? 5G is revolutionizing the Internet and technology age. The global power distribution will also be affected.

China, USA Japan South Korea and are all in the race of having 5G. But two countries are the main ones. Due to the desire for 5G, tensions are high between these two countries. Why are USA and China fighting to gain 5G? Let’s see.

The nation that controls 5G will create 3 million estimated jobs and generate a revenue of $500 billion. QUALCOMM has conducted a study that shows 5G could generate $3.5 billion in revenue by 2035 and about 22 millions jobs. A country that controls 5G can also monitor everything that people do on the internet.

China has a huge lead over the USA when it comes to 5G. Huawei, a Chinese-based company, has been testing 5G technology for years in several countries. The infrastructure is worth $24 billion in China and has 350,000 5G-towers. In contrast, the USA only has about 30,000 5G-towers.

Google and Qualcomm have blacklisted Huawei because the USA can’t catch China with 5G. China has still surpassed the USA in terms of 5G.

Zong organized an event to test the 5G speed on 22 August 2019. Zong also tweeted about this 5G speed. Zong is the first network that has tested 5G. In Pakistan, you need to have a device with 5G capabilities. The market has fewer 5G enabled devices and they are more expensive.

In Pakistan, there are no networks that support 5G. P.T.A granted Zong permission in a limited manner. P.T.A granted Zong limited permission to test the 5G technology. There is no 5G network in Pakistan. Zong only tested 5G tech which is a different Pitch. In the test, GIGA’s bite speed is at its best. When 5G is actually implemented in Pakistan this speed may be low at first. In the Zong 5G trial, they have a high level of latency. When it comes to implementation in Pakistan the latency is going to be much lower.

The government will assign spectrum for 5G implementation in Pakistan. As was done in 4G where different networks bought different spectrums and implemented it. So will 5G. Then, 5G is implemented. Tests of 5G are also underway in the United States. But only in some cities.
